Home Learning in the Event of a Pod Closure.

What to expect:

  • Every child has their own log in to the school website.
  • They will be able to access games and activities suitable for their age.
  • Daily Zoom lessons will take place twice a day with your child's class teacher (providing they are well.)
  • Daily work will be assigned by their teacher.
  • Your child will upload their work and be given personal feedback from the teacher.

We know that the School Closure between March and July presented a huge Home Learning Challenge to families.  During that time, class teachers provided weekly work on the school website and children were encouraged to send it into school via email for personal feedback from their teacher.

We are going to be using a similar system for Homework throughout this year, and will also use an extension of this in the event of a Pod being asked to self-isolate for 14 days.

If your child is asked to self-isolate and you cannot access online learning, please let school know and we will arrange for a paper pack to be posted to your home.

Staying Safe Online

It is very important that Parents monitor their child's online use, especially during a period of Remote Learning.  To keep the children safe on our school website, each child has their own password which they must not share with others.  There is also a whistle button, which your child can use if they are worried about something which they read.

Please check the link below for more information about how to keep your child safe online.
