Religious Education

download (4)

Religious Education is a big part of our curriculum and school day and gives us the chance to think about and reflect on the world around us. Each morning we share Collective Worship together using a story from Gospel, Psalm or prayer as our focus of discussion and reflection.

We explore Religion through a variety of ways using stories, drama and music to develop our understanding and knowledge.

Autumn 1 - The Christian Family

Throughout the term we have been focussing on what it means to be a part of the Christian Family. We thought about our families, our school family and our Parish family, using stories from The Bible to demonstrate the importance of these.

Each year, thousands of people take part in One World Week events across the country with the aim of sharing understanding about some of the global issues that affect us all and to recognise we can all make a difference.

This year during One World Week we thought about the countries that have been affected by recent hurricanes. We enjoyed learning all about Anguilla, focussing on the location, traditions and culture. We also learnt how Hurricane Irma has caused great damage and destruction to this Island.

We also got to spend some time with different classes, thinking about being good neighbours. We had lots of fun sharing stories, prayers and even creating art work with Year 6.
